He was raised in Miami Beach, Bay Harbor and Sunny Isles/Aventura before graduating from the University of Miami and the University of Miami School of Medicine, where he was a Medical Scholar.
Dr. Malvehy is certified by the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine (ABVLM). Only 675 physicians in the US are certified by the Board. Certification by the Board denotes extensive experience and expertise in treating venous disease. He is the only Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RPhS) in Miami Beach - one of only 17 in Florida. RPhS is a certification awarded to professionals with extensive vein disease diagnostic expertise.
